Identifying quality NGOs, Social Enterprises and charities around the world
Quality and Impact
We apply the same rigorous process that would be applied when investing in a business, because like a business a project must deliver strong and sustainable outcomes.
Our philanthropy advisors analyse the finances, talk to the staff and interview the management. We research the environment the organization is working in. This includes analysing the local political and social economic policies, so we can determine risk and opportunity.
Visiting projects is crucial to really understand how the organization operates. It is vital to meet the staff and engage with people the project is supporting.
It’s very important to know the project is appropriate for their needs, as this is not always the case.
To assess the quality of a project, charity or NGO we need to understand the long term impact the organization is having.
Talking to recipients
Spending time talking to those benefiting from the work and getting behind the glossy websites is very important. Our team takes the time to hear their stories, their experience and hopes for the future.
It is also important to understand what happens after support is withdrawn and a project finishes, to understand exactly what the lasting legacy is.
Thorough Evaluation
As philanthropy advisors we have over 30 years’ experience working with hundreds of organizations across the UK, Europe, US, Asia,
S America, Middle East and Asia.
To ascertain whether a Charity, NGO or Social Enterprise goes on our shortlist for a donor, we analyse its relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability. We are thorough, unbiased and leave no stone unturned.
