Helping you make a difference
Connecting Donors to outstanding charities - projects At home and globally
Supporting Major Donors and Foundations so they can make a difference at home and across the world.
What we do
Charity Donor Support
We work with major donors, Foundations and companies so meaningful giving can make a tangible difference to people’s lives at home and across the world.
We help develop action plans that clearly articulate donors philanthropic concerns. We then help donors identify the charities, NGOs, and projects that can best deliver their goals. We have the experience to identify high impact, cost effective and transparent charities, projects and social enterprises in your home country or internationally.
Supporting Individual Donors and Foundations
We take time and care to thoroughly understand donors goals, so we can build a strategy that works. Developing a clear strategy with a detailed critical path helps us move on to the next stage.
Taking action is our hallmark, whether that is investigating projects and charities to support close to home or travelling overseas.
Our advisors travel to some of the world’s most challenging environments
We are currently working in Eastern Ukraine (July 2023) with a base in Dnipro identifying NGOs providing medical support to people living near the frontline.
We are also identifying hospitals that need medical supplies and identifying safe routes in to supply essential medicines and medical equipment.
John, Haidee-Laure and Dominic seek out dynamic, innovative and impactful projects, enabling donors to put their money to work in communities that need it most.
ASI Philanthropy supports all causes that improve the lives of people, from social welfare and medical to environmental initiatives.
The advisors’ aim is to make sure the programmes donors support really do deliver.
ASI Advisors Always Visit Projects
We cannot overstate the importance of visiting an NGO or Charity wherever it is based before making recommendations.
We need to know that the response on the ground is the right one. That cannot be achieved by sitting in front of a computer in London, New York or Geneva.
We take action. That’s what we do. More about The Team here.
Education can happen anywhere as long as there is a strategy and motivated teachers, parents and children!
Our key charity criteria when identifying quality programmes to support include:

- Value for money
- Sustainability
- Management
- Financial transparency
- Current/Past outcomes
- Feedback from recipients
- What other similar organizations are working in the area and what is their impact
- Local, regional and countrywide social and economic policies
- Political stability
Working in Partnership
We are delighted to be supporting Julius Baer Private Bank based in Geneva. They have a highly proactive philanthropy service supporting their clients and a number of extremely innovative projects around the world.
Sometimes Taking Risks Makes Sense
Our team will help build your investment and giving criteria and focus on the type of project or organization you wish to support.
We will encourage a focus on cost-effective, well run, sustainable initiatives.
However, sometimes we come across new initiatives that have the potential to be charity disruptors, that could encourage profound change or ways of doing things. The Uber or Amazon of the charity sector.
They may not have a track record, but could lead to new ways of working that will result in seismic change. These could be worth taking a much bigger risk in, to see change that could improve the lives of millions.
“I believe that one of the reasons why philanthropy is not more impactful is because we need to work with more urgency and be willing to take more risks” President of the Ford Foundation, Darren Walker.
Monitoring and Evaluation
We closely monitor how your donation has been spent, ensuring it has been used for the purpose it was given.
We also evaluate the impact and the aspirations that were highlighted by the organisation.
We have experienced project evaluators who will carry out project cycle management to provide monitoring and final evaluation.
